Carbon market corrects after stellar run

Carbon fell across-the-board today on profit-taking. After making solid gains early on the back of a strong oil market and firm German electricity prices, carbon turned lower late in the day as traders took some profits off the table.

Carbon demand continues to surge

Demand for carbon surged again today on the back of firm oil prices, and while oil backed off from its highs, the carbon price remained very well-bid right across the strip, especially the back vintages which continued to rise and steepen the curve further, broker OM Financial reports.
