A welcome pull-back in the oil price after the Chinese announced an end to gasoline subsidies failed to push carbon lower – it finished flat on the day in the front vintages, with longer-dated vintages continuing to be well bid, broker OM Financial reports.
Even a decline in power prices and a continuing run-up in coal prices failed to dent demand.
