Better metering will cut household power use 20%

With a power crisis looming – and household costs skyrocketing – Kiwis need better information to make energy savings without jeopardising their health, according to Gary Mitchell, Managing Director of Centameter.
A number of local and international studies – including a recent BRANZ report – have found that households using instant energy display technologies, which show power consumption in real time, are able to make measurable savings of up to 20%.
