Hydro dams carry concerns, says Greenpeace

Greenpeace says it does not oppose new hydroelectric dams in principle – but warns that building more hydro schemes will increase New Zealand’s reliance on fossil fuels.
Contact Energy – which owns the Clyde and Roxburgh dams - is asking for public feedback on the prospect of building more dams on the Clutha River.
