Marine energy on a roll - offshore investors lining up

New Zealand’s marine energy industry has been kick-started, with the Government coming in strongly behind it and international companies lining up to invest.
Industry leaders are meeting in Wellington at their second annual conference, and the executive officer of the Aotearoa Wave and Tidal Energy Association, Dr John Huckerby, says that yesterday’s announcement by Climate Change Minister David Parker that applications arenow open for the second round of the Marine Energy Deployment Fund grants has given the industry the shot-in-the-arm it needs.
