Canterbury will have a regional water strategy in place within 18 months as part of its strategy for dealing with the expected impact of climate change.
Yesterday, Climate Change Minister David Parker released new predictions on the way in which climate change will affect different parts of the country, including a projection that the east of the country will be drier in winter and spring.
