Ambitious, but we'll do our bit, say farmers

Agriculture will play its part in cutting greenhouse gas emissions to meet the “ambitious” 2030 emissions reduction target announced yesterday, Federated Farmers says.
“Agriculture takes its responsibilities as New Zealand and global citizens seriously and the primary sector already has an impressive track record in achieving carbon efficiency,” said the federation’s climate change spokesman, Anders Crofoot.
