Finland declares itself a bio-economy superpower

Finland has launched a research centre for the refining of biomass into biochemicals as part of the country’s drive to double its bio-economy.
Describing itself as a “bio-economy superpower” (the sustainable use of natural resources to produce goods, energy, food and services), Finland aims to double its bio-economy output to 100 billion euros by 2025, creating 100,000 new jobs.
