Latest figures show that New Zealand is not planting enough trees to meet its climate change pledges, and a carbon forestry expert says that the Government is to blame.
A Ministry for Primary Industry report shows that just 3000 hectares of new forest was planted last year and that sales of forest seedlings were down for the second year in a row.
