Foresters could have arbitrage case, says expert

A litigator turned forest manager says that the Government’s surprise move to
close an arbitrage loophole for forest owners could be legally challenged.
Warren Forestry managing director Charles Etherington says that his company had already started the process of deregistration – including buying ERUs to cover surrender obligations – when the Government slipped the clause through
Parliament as part of the Budget this month.
