Iwi forest plan key to processing boom

A proposal by iwi to plant a million hectares of new forest over 10 years could provide the economies of scale needed to kick the New Zealand industry into large-scale processing.
The Iwi Leadership Forum has told Prime Minister John Key that Maori will undertake to plant 100,000 hectares of new forest a year for 10 years if carbon prices are lifted.
