NZ turns away Australian carbon units

More than two million Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) issued under that country’s Carbon Farming Initiative will not be eligible for surrender in New Zealand.
Although the units are surrenderable under Australia’s about-to-be-scrapped Carbon Pricing Mechanism, the New Zealand Government says the units will not be accepted into the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme.
