Meat exporter Dr Haj Mohamed Samy Abdel-Al believes that the food miles syndrome underpins criticism in Britain of halal foods from New Zealand.
And he warns that New Zealand food exports of all description to the United Kingdom will become increasingly vulnerable to the food miles syndrome.
