LanzaTech gases will fuel Virgin aircraft

New Zealand’s LanzaTech has done a deal to that will provide Virgin Atlantic with low-carbon aviation fuel.

In an agreement described by the companies involved as a world first, LanzaTech’s technology will be used to ferment waste gases from industrial steel plants in India and China into jet fuel, which will then be chemically converted into jet fuel using Swedish Biofuels technology.
