E-cars equal petrol at 26c a litre, says EECA

Driving the first mass-produced electric car on sale in New Zealand is like buying petrol at 26 cents a litre, says the Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority.
A new energy-efficiency label for cars has been launched in Wellington, and it puts the average annual cost of driving the Mitsubishi i-MiEV at $280 – equal to paying 26 cents a litre for petrol.
