Try incentives for farmers, says broker

A scheme similar to the United Nations Joint Implementation programme should be used to encourage farmers to cut greenhouse gas emissions, says a New Zealand carbon consultant.
Lizzie Chambers, of Beyond Carbon, told the panel reviewing the Emissions Trading Scheme that the country should be using a carrot, and not a stick, to get farmers to reduce emissions.
