MAF report prompts call to include agriculture in ETS "now"

The Sustainability Council says MAF’s report on the effects of the ETS on farm profits shows there’s no justification for delaying agriculture’s inclusion in the scheme.
Council executive director Simon Terry says the report — whose findings were highlighted by in an exclusive story in Carbon News on Monday, four days before its intended release — agrees with his own analysis that dairy farmers in particular could be dramatically cutting nitrous oxide emissions by using readily available nitrification inhibitors.
