Air NZ fits planes with fuel-saving winglets

Air New Zealand’s bid to cut carbon emissions and fuel consumption by fitting blended winglets to its five Boeing 767-300ER aircraft began yesterday.
The first aircraft fitted with the 3.4 metre high wing-tip devices arrived in Auckland yesterday morning, and the airline says that the winglets had no impact on the aircraft's handling.
