Suspending the emissions trading scheme would mean the forestry sector isn’t rewarded for the work it is doing on climate change, says Forest Enterprises’ managing director Steve Wilton.
Wilton was commenting on a call by the Greenhouse Policy Coalition to suspend the ETS so that New Zealand is not out of step with the climate change policies of other nations, and to allow time for a better local scheme to be developed.
