Credit freeze forces foresters to stall harvests

A bank freeze on credit - especially on letters of credit - is prompting forestry owners to keep their trees in the ground because they cannot find the cash to export them.
A recent round of corporate funds-gathering, notably by Fonterra, which has held on to all the funds offered in spite of the placement being oversubscribed, has exacerbated this liquidity problem in the primary sector.
