ETS review could damage farming, says Pedersen

Former farming leader Charlie Pedersen, who championed the need for agriculture to be in the New Zealand emissions trading scheme even though he felt isolated and unsupported, is warning that the farming sector could be damaged by the review of the climate change and the ETS.
Pedersen, immediate past-president of Federated Farmers, told Carbon News that the imminent entry of agriculture into New Zealand’s ETS provided crucial pressure to find the scientific solutions that would enable emissions reductions in the sector.
