ETS will put us out of business, says horticulture chief

The horticulture sector’s official body says that the ETS legislation was enacted in dangerous haste and will put many of its members out of business.
Horticulture New Zealand president Andrew Fenton says that with the ETS pushing up grower costs, New Zealand consumers will switch from locally grown produce to imported products grown in nations with much higher carbon outputs than New Zealand - but ones without a New Zealand-type of ETS.
