NZ algae-to-fuels pioneer claims world breakthrough

New Zealand’s Aquaflow Bionomic Corporation says it has become the first company in the world to produce green-crude from wild algae.

“This is an exciting development, because we can separate fuels such as diesel and aviation fuels, as well as a range of high-value chemicals, from green-crude,” Aquaflow chairman, Barrie Leay told Carbon News.
