Emissions cuts from crossing milk and beef breeds

FARMERS could cut the country’s greenhouse gas emissions by two million tonnes a year by crossing beef and dairy cattle, scientists say.
In theory, the move would reduce greenhouse gas emissions from beef cattle by 22 per cent – making a sizable dent in the country’s Paris Agreement targets without compromising the quality of the meat produced.
