CONTRARY to Monday’s item on wood pellets production in the United States, the supply of wood pellets in New Zealand is from sustainable sources of waste wood which would otherwise possibly be left in the forest as slash, or disposed of to landfill.
There is a danger in looking at other countries where practices are poor and assuming that the same applies in New Zealand.
