Farmers and foresters are taking to the streets

TENSIONS between farmers and foresters over land acquisitions are about to be played out on the streets of Wellington.

Farming lobby group Fifty Shades of Green is calling members of rural communities to a rally and march on Parliament on November 14 over the “blanket acquisition of good farmland” by forestry companies planting carbon forests, which it says has reached crisis proportions.
