Why environment has place in red-meat debate

RECOMMENDATIONS that people should keep eating red meat fail to take environmental damage into account – posing a long-term threat to human health, says one of New Zealand’s leading medical researchers.
A paper published today in the Annals of Internal Medicine concludes there is no evidence that reducing the amount of red meat and processed meat we eat improves our health, and recommends adults continue to eat as much as they are now.
