Food growers fear loss of land to dairying

THE GOVERNMENT'S drive to cut greenhouse gas emissions could see horticultural land taken over by a dairy industry being squeezed by expanding forestry, MPs have been told.
HorticultureNZ says Paris Agreement clauses on the need to protect food production must be included in the Government’s zero-carbon legislation to make sure affordable food is available for New Zealand children.
