Mercury gives go-ahead for Turita wind farm

ENERGY generator and retailer Mercury says it is going ahead with what will be the country’s third-largest wind farm.
The 119-megawatt, $256 million project at Turitea, near Palmerston North, has had planning consent since 2010, and Mercury chief executive Fraser Whineray says that now is the right time to build it.
