Second iwi wants inclusion of older forests

ANOTHER MAJOR iwi is pushing for tradable carbon credits for a much wider range of forests – and says dairy farmers should be liable for emissions from their businesses.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is due to meet with the Iwi Leaders’ Forum at Waitangi this afternoon – a group which in the past has threatened to take a major Waitangi Tribunal claim against the Government over the value of carbon credits.
