FARMERS want research into alternative land uses to help them to cope with climate change, and greater incentives to plant carbon-storing trees on their farms.
In a new policy on climate change, Federated Farmers remains opposed to making biological emissions liable under the Emissions Trading Scheme, but explicitly acknowledges that farming is one of the causes of climate change.
