PV power could save nation tonnes of emissions

NEW ZEALAND could save up to 815,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases a year by converting 18 per cent of households to photovoltaic solar power, a new study says.
The report, commissioned by the Sustainable Electricity Association, follows claims earlier this year that New Zealand can cut emissions more effectively by investing in electric vehicles instead of solar panels.
