Frustrated forest owners quit trading scheme

More than 750 owners of post-1989 forests left the Emissions Trading Scheme over the past year as New Zealand’s net forestation rate plummeted.
Figures released this morning by the Environmental Protection Authority show that our overall forestation level under the Emissions Trading Scheme fell in the last emissions year for the first time since 2009.
