Aussies win $550,000 clean-up contract

Australian company Transpacific Technical Services has won $550,000 of New Zealand Government money to get rid of hazardous waste from old electrical equipment.
The grant, from the Waste Minimisation Fund, will be used to set up a national disposal scheme for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which was used in products such as electrical transformers, ballasts and heat transfer capacitors.
