Sales of gas-guzzlers on the rise

Signs that consumers are starting to adjust to higher petrol prices have started to emerge, with Turners Auctions’ third-quarter sales results showing an increase in sales in mid-to-large-engine vehicles.


Sales of vehicles with engines 2.1 litre and above have increased steadily over the year and now represent 43.2 per cent of total cars sold, 2.1 per cent higher than last year.
