The new forestry deadlines established by the Government this week amount to “fiddling while Rome burns,” say foresters.
“The Government needs to wake up to how critical it is to get investment in afforestation as soon as possible, or the future is going to hold some ugly surprises for the carbon counters of the future,” Kyoto Forest Association’s spokesman Roger Dickie told Carbon News.
