Organisations representing 40% of New Zealand’s GDP are supporting mandatory climate reporting and have warned the government against premature changes that could undermine its effectiveness.
In their response to the Government's Climate-related Disclosures Consultation, the Sustainable Business Council and Climate Leaders Coalition stressed the importance of maintaining a transparent and credible reporting system while addressing concerns about compliance costs.
