Holcim readies for court hearing on plant shift

Holcim still wants to shift its New Zealand cement production from Westport to Oamaru, with an Environment Court appeal hearing for the company's proposed new North Otago plant scheduled for March.
The Swiss-owned company’s determination to transfer production to the environmentally sensitive Weston neighbourhood, near Oamaru, is seen as awkward for the rest of the construction sector.
