By JEREMY ROSE | With Easter behind us some people will be worrying about the extra centimetres those chocolate eggs added to their waistlines – but here at Carbon News we’re more interested in how much carbon they added to the atmosphere.
And it turns out chocolate has a surprisingly high carbon footprint. In the pecking order of foods that contribute an outsize portion of carbon with every serving, chocolate rates just below red meat.
