Tsunami risk grows as sea-levels rise

The 2004 tsunami in Indonesia devastated the coast town of Banda Aceh and killed 230,000 people.
NINE PER CENT of New Zealanders live in a tsunami zone – and the threat will increase as the climate warms, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research says.
Niwa has just finished the first national assessment of the threat posed by tsunami.
