Big emitters join hands to buy carbon forests

FOUR of New Zealand’s largest emitters are joining forces to supply their own carbon credits to meet obligations under the Emissions Trading Scheme.
Air New Zealand, Contact Energy, Genesis Energy and Z Energy have formed a limited liability partnership that will buy marginal land to grow trees for carbon sequestration.
