Don't force carbon-risk disclosure, says board

Carbon-risk disclosure by companies should not be prescriptive, the External Reporting Board is warning.
Finance minister Grant Robertson has previously said that a Labour-led government would make implementing the recommendations of the international Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures mandatory for businesses, and the issue is part of the current review of the Reserve Bank Act.
