Vero warns losses to rise 26% by 2050 over extreme weather

Extreme weather could drive a 19-26% spike in annual insurance losses by 2050, fuelled by rising seas and more intense flooding, according to Vero’s latest Climate-Related Disclosures Report.
The insurer warns that without stronger national investment in resilience and adaptation, costs will escalate and cover could become less accessible for some communities.
