KARAKA LEAVES gathered by naturalists on board HM Bark Endeavour nearly 250 years ago are helping today’s researchers to understand climate change.
Scientists at Unitec Institute of Technology are using historic native-leaf samples taken during Captain James Cook’s first visit to New Zealand in 1769 with modern-day samples to see if the plants have changed over that time.
