High land prices key blocker to forest planting

NEW ZEALAND won’t get more carbon-sequestering forests until land prices fall.
The message is contained in a paper likely to mirror the findings of the Government’s forestry reference group, set up last year to report on ways to increase forest planting in New Zealand, and whose report is not likely to see the light of day until the middle of next year.
