Public doesn't need scientific climate consensus

CLIMATE CHANGE campaigns that focus on correcting public beliefs about scientific consensus are likely to backfire and undermine policy efforts, according to an expert commentary.
The six authors of the commentary just published in Environmental Communication argue that campaigns which emphasise variations on messages such as, “97 per cent of climate scientists have concluded that human-caused climate change is happening”, hold several serious drawbacks.
