Go-slow shipping has problems, says minister

Slow-steaming - the most effective method of cutting shipping emissions – will cause problems for New Zealand’s fresh food exporters, Cabinet has been told.
In September last year, transport minister Simon Bridges, who was also the associate climate minister at the time, told Cabinet’s economic growth and infrastructure committee that that slow-steaming was the most important method available of cutting greenhouse gas emissions from ships.
