THE DOOR is slightly open for the Government to reconsider the contentious pre-1990/post-1989 forestry split under the Emissions Trading Scheme.
The scheme, introduced in 2008, differentiates between forests that existed before the Kyoto baseline year of 1990, and those that have been established since then.
