D-day for emitters ... but not everyone will make it

Today is the last day for emitters to file returns for 2015. And inevitably, there will be some who don’t.

Figures contained in one of the Emissions Trading Scheme review documents show that last year, more than 6 per cent of emitters (158 out of 2536 registered) failed to meet the rules in some way, including being late to file returns or to surrender units to cover their carbon liablities.
