Budget holds hint of carbon credit auctions

The Government is developing the architecture to auction carbon credits.
In last week’s Budget, it announced it was setting aside $4.1 million for the development and operation of a supply management strategy for the Emissions Trading Scheme, including the “consideration and design of an auctioning function”.
